Lead Cloud Security Engineer (Remote, Global)

Job summary

This role involves leading cloud security initiatives across various platforms and business units, focusing on securing modern cloud environments and mitigating cyber threats.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in cloud security and IT projects.
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Microsoft 365.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 security controls including Defender and DLP.
• Knowledge of Cloud Security Access Brokers (CASB) and cloud workload protection.
• Understanding of information security frameworks and compliance tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide cloud security expertise for strategic IT and business projects.
• Conduct architecture and security practice reviews to identify vulnerabilities.
• Design and implement secure cloud-native solutions.
• Define and assess IT security controls and support governance activities.
• Advise service providers on security best practices and monitor emerging threats.
• Contribute to security strategy and continuous improvement efforts.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure and multi-platform architectures.
• Experience in developing and implementing security policies and standards.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in IT security or related fields.

Tools

• Proficiency in cloud security tools and compliance frameworks relevant to Azure, AWS, and Microsoft 365.
