IT Systems Administrator (Remote, Nordic Region)

Job summary

A proactive IT Systems Administrator is needed to ensure the secure and reliable operation of training centers across the Nordic region, focusing on systems administration and on-site support. The role requires frequent travel to various locations including Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Oslo.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in systems administration or senior IT support roles.
• Proficient in Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and core networking concepts.
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with modern security practices and compliance standards.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for complex technical issues.
• Experience managing small technical projects.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Must have legal authorization to work in Denmark.

Responsibilities

• Maintain server environments across Nordic sites, including patching and hardening systems.
• Administer cloud services and coordinate with network teams for secure connectivity.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery plans, ensuring they are tested and functional.
• Provide 2nd-line support and deliver hands-on assistance for device setup and classroom technology.
• Lead upgrades, migrations, and deployments with minimal disruption.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess infrastructure health and compliance.
• Contribute to regional IT budgeting and resource allocation.

Skills

• Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python).
• Familiarity with AI-enabled tools like Microsoft Copilot in IT operations.
• Relevant certifications (MCSA/MCSE, Azure, CCNA) are preferred.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in IT or related field is preferred.

Tools

• Experience with Lucidchart, SharePoint, OneNote, and automation platforms is beneficial.
