Interconnect Engineer

Job summary

The role involves working on high power external laser source modules for co-packaged optics systems, focusing on optical interconnect technology. This position requires a strong technical background and ownership in the design and implementation of ELS products, as well as managing external vendors.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
• Over 3 years of experience in photonics
• High motivation, ambition, and ownership mindset
• Strong desire to implement engineering solutions in practice
• Laboratory experience in optics or optical communications, including test setup automation
• Knowledge of electrical circuits
• Proficiency in English

Responsibilities

• Develop internal ELS products
• Communicate specifications to external vendors
• Manage day-to-day technical aspects of product implementation with external partners, including communication, change management, and troubleshooting
• Drive projects from concept to mass production
• Present progress and challenges to management

Skills

• Expertise in laser physics
• Experience with packaging of electro-optic components or modules
• Experience working with contract manufacturers

Education

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent

Tools

• Laboratory equipment for optics and optical communications
