Installation Design Manager (Copenhagen)

Job summary

The Installation Design Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and executing installations within a railway environment, ensuring site readiness and installation approvals. This role leads the design of installation packages, including equipment locations and cable routes, while coordinating with various stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Over 5–7 years of experience in installation design management for rail, telecoms, electrical, controls, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of constructability, CAD/BIM, cable routing, and installation quality records.
• Ability to bridge engineering intent with site realities.
• Resilience under stress during site discoveries and design changes.
• Practical problem-solving skills and configuration discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of installation design packages, ensuring they are approved and configuration-controlled.
• Conduct constructability reviews with engineering and implementation teams.
• Resolve technical queries and site survey findings through controlled design processes.
• Support the capture of red-line/as-built documentation and installation acceptance evidence.
• Ensure designs support safe and efficient installation, testing, maintenance, and handover.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in engineering or a related field.
