Head of Thin Film Processing

Job summary

This role involves leading the Thin Film Processing team at a prominent research and technology facility, focusing on advancing nanofabrication technologies and optimizing process flows. The position requires strong leadership and technological insight in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Master of Science and Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., Micro/Nanofabrication, Physics, Microelectronics).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in cleanroom fabrication related to etching and deposition.
• Proven ability to collaborate with academic and commercial users.
• Extensive knowledge of nano-fabrication methods, including lithography and process characterization.
• In-depth understanding of plasma and non-plasma processes for material deposition and etching.
• Experience in process development and understanding of micro- and nanofabrication industry challenges.
• Familiarity with semiconductor materials and cleanroom safety protocols.
• Leadership experience managing skilled technical staff.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Danish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee processes and tools related to plasma etching and deposition, including various advanced equipment.
• Advise academic and industrial users, identify needs, and participate in equipment procurement.
• Provide strategic leadership for the Thin Film Processing team and contribute to core management activities.
• Engage in projects to enhance technological capabilities and foster collaborations across Nordic countries and the EU.
