Head of Real Estate

Job summary

The Head of Real Estate will lead the establishment of a new Centre of Excellence focused on building automation, energy management, and operational excellence across an international store portfolio. This role is based at the Head Office in Aarhus and involves driving the Smart Store initiative across 29 countries, ensuring consistent implementation of standards and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in an international organization.
• Engineering degree or similar technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Building Automation, or related fields.
• Extensive experience with building automation systems and energy management.
• Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering complex international projects.
• Knowledge of operational excellence and ISO standards.
• Leadership skills to develop teams and foster relationships across functions and countries.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the Real Estate Center of Excellence.
• Drive the implementation and ongoing development of the Smart Store initiative.
• Define and maintain standards and execution models for building solutions.
• Lead initiatives in energy management and building automation to enhance operational performance.
• Support ISO-related processes and ensure alignment between strategy and operations.
• Contribute to strategic decision-making as a member of the Real Estate Leadership Team.
• Provide leadership and guidance to Head Office teams and matrix stakeholders across countries.

Education
