Head of IT Infrastructure Solutions (Logistics, Remote)

Job summary

This role involves leading a global team of IT infrastructure specialists to deliver comprehensive IT infrastructure solutions for logistics and airport baggage handling projects worldwide. The position requires overseeing the end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet operational standards and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred, but relevant experience is prioritized.
• 5-10+ years of experience managing IT infrastructure projects.
• Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder collaboration and management reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage a global team of 35 IT infrastructure professionals, providing mentorship and conducting performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with global procurement to manage third-party service providers and hardware/software procurement.
• Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as ISO 27001 and IEC62443.
• Develop operational procedures, documentation, and training to ensure readiness for support.
• Define and maintain a service delivery catalogue to ensure standardized and efficient services.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of ITIL framework and project management methodologies (PMP or PRINCE2).
• Understanding of IT hardware, servers, SAN, networks, firewalls, virtualization (VMware), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred, but significant experience may substitute.

Tools

• Familiarity with project management tools and IT infrastructure management software.
