Hardware Deployment & Maintenance Engineer (Copenhagen)

Job summary

This role involves building and maintaining a fleet of modular, liquid-cooled AI infrastructure containers. As the first dedicated engineer for hardware deployment and maintenance, you will establish procedures and manage the fleet's operational standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in maintaining hardware in live data centers, particularly with GPU compute and high-density racks.
• Proven experience in installing and commissioning compute hardware on-site.
• Ability to diagnose and replace various hardware components including drives, fans, and CPUs.
• Experience in managing spares and asset inventory.
• Willingness to travel regularly to sites in Denmark and internationally.
• Must reside in Denmark or nearby regions with easy access to Danish sites and have the right to work in the EU.

Responsibilities

• Build and commission new containers, including hardware setup and testing.
• Maintain the fleet by performing diagnostics and preventative maintenance.
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures and standards for future containers.
• Manage spares and asset tracking across all sites.
• Engage in technical discussions with hardware suppliers and contractors.

Skills

• Proficient in installing and managing copper and fiber connections.
• Strong problem-solving skills for hardware failures.
• Ability to write clear procedures for maintenance tasks.

Education

• Relevant technical degree or equivalent experience in hardware maintenance and deployment.

Tools

• Familiarity with hardware management tools and basic Linux administration is beneficial.
