Fullstack Engineer (Fintech, Copenhagen)

Job summary

This role involves building and maintaining full stack features for financial tools aimed at small businesses, focusing on both frontend and backend development. The position is part of a small, senior squad working on early-stage, impactful projects in the fintech sector.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Node.js and TypeScript, with experience in building and maintaining microservices.
• Hands-on experience with React.js and delivering user-facing frontend features.
• Comfortable in a small, autonomous team environment with a strong sense of ownership.
• Familiarity with API design, incremental migration paths, and event-driven concepts, including tools like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Strong communication skills to articulate technical decisions to cross-functional teams.
• A curious mindset with a commitment to continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full stack features for the Expenses and Making Tax Digital products.
• Integrate Expenses into Business Account transaction history, involving API refactoring and frontend updates.
• Ensure backend service reliability, including CI/CD workflows and Kubernetes deployments.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and other squads to produce clean, testable, and maintainable code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions and engineering practices.

Skills

• Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and React.js.
• Experience with microservices architecture and API design.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in software engineering or a related field.
