Job summary

This role involves contributing to project-based AI opportunities by designing computational mathematics problems and validating solutions using Python. Contributors will engage in tasks that simulate real mathematical research workflows and require advanced reasoning in various mathematical domains.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mathematics (Pure or Applied) or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or similar programming languages is acceptable.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applied mathematics, research, or teaching.
  • Experience with numerical methods and symbolic computation.
  • Ability to create problems reflecting real mathematical research workflows.
  • Knowledge of computational complexity theory.
  • Strong written English skills (C1+).

Responsibilities

Project time expectations

Tasks are estimated to require 10–20 hours per week during active project phases.

Compensation

Earn up to $45 per hour, depending on experience and contribution level. Compensation may vary based on project scope and complexity.

  • Design original computational mathematics problems for AI evaluation.
  • Create Python-based problems that are computationally intensive.
  • Develop problems requiring complex reasoning in number theory, combinatorics, graph theory, and numerical analysis.
  • Base problems on real research challenges or practical applications.
  • Verify solutions using Python and document problem statements clearly.
