Job summary

This role involves contributing to project-based AI opportunities focused on enhancing AI systems through the design and evaluation of computational biology problems. Contributors will engage in tasks that simulate real-world biology research workflows.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biology or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or other programming languages is acceptable.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applied, research, or teaching roles.
• Experience with biological data analysis and algorithms.
• Knowledge of bioinformatics tools and computational methods.
• Strong written English skills (C1+ level).

Responsibilities

Project time expectations

Tasks are estimated to require 10–20 hours per week during active project phases, subject to project requirements.

Compensation

Earn up to $45 per hour, depending on experience and contribution pace. Compensation varies by project based on scope and expertise required.

• Design original computational biology problems that reflect real research workflows.
• Create Python programming challenges using libraries such as Numpy, SciPy, and BioPython.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive and require significant reasoning in bioinformatics and systems biology.
• Develop problems based on actual research challenges or practical applications in biology.
• Verify solutions using Python and document problem statements with clear, correct answers.
