Footwear Material Developer

Job summary

This role involves developing innovative materials for footwear collections, collaborating with various teams to ensure quality and manufacturability. You will be part of the Global Material Management team, focusing on material innovation from concept to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in material development, preferably in the footwear or fashion industry.
• Experience working with suppliers and coordinating development activities across multiple stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in English and familiar with PLM, SAP, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new footwear materials based on design and engineering requirements.
• Plan, coordinate, and evaluate material testing to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
• Explore new materials, technologies, and supplier partnerships to support innovation.
• Manage material specifications and documentation in PLM, ensuring smooth handover to production.
• Support strategic initiatives related to sustainability and cost optimization.
