Field Services Engineer Trainee

Job summary

As a Field Services Engineer Trainee, you will assist in the maintenance, repair, installation, and upgrade of advanced medical equipment in healthcare settings. This role offers a chance to develop technical troubleshooting skills while providing high-quality service and customer support under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Technical education or apprenticeship in electronics, automation, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Strong interest in technology and hands-on problem solving.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel within the local region and occasionally stay overnight.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance on medical equipment following company and manufacturer guidelines.
• Support corrective maintenance activities, troubleshoot, and repair technical issues at customer locations.
• Assist in implementing Field Modification Instructions (FMIs) and product updates.
• Participate in installation, upgrade, and system enhancement projects as needed.
• Apply structured troubleshooting methods to diagnose and resolve technical problems.
• Plan and execute customer visits with a focus on professionalism and customer satisfaction.
• Document all service activities accurately using company systems.
• Manage and track spare parts, tools, and service inventory.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues and technical support teams to efficiently resolve customer issues.
