Field Service Engineer (Automation)

Job summary

The role involves installing and maintaining automation machines at customer locations, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and effective communication. The position requires regular global travel and offers a structured schedule to balance work and personal time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Automation Engineering, or a vocational degree with relevant experience.
• Experience or interest in electrical cabinet rebuilding, software installation/configuration, and troubleshooting PLCs.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Server and SQL databases is advantageous.
• Familiarity with process engineering and food production is a plus.
• Proficient in English.
• Must possess relevant EU travel and work documents.
• Willingness to travel internationally (~50-60%).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute installation jobs related to controls (electrical cabinets/software/PLC).
• Conduct service visits and troubleshoot production issues at customer sites.
• Manage local employees during larger installation projects.
• Maintain communication with customers regarding project progress.
• Provide training to customers and relay feedback to colleagues.
