Field Applications Scientist (Remote, EMEA North)

Job summary

This role involves providing advanced scientific and technical expertise in HPLC and LC-MS solutions, focusing on environmental and food safety applications across EMEA North. The position requires collaboration with sales teams and customers to deliver demonstrations, applications support, and training, contributing to the mission of enhancing global health and safety.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in relevant analytical instrumentation and applications.
• Preferred fields of study include Chemistry, Biochemistry, Materials Science, Molecular Biology, or related disciplines.
• Strong experience in environmental analytical applications is highly desirable; experience in regulated markets such as food safety or pharmaceuticals is also considered.
• Proven expertise in technical problem-solving and method development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong presentation and training skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a results-oriented environment.
• Experience in project management and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant scientific software.
• Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are beneficial.
• Valid driver's license and passport required for travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pre- and post-sales technical expertise across multiple HPLC and LC-MS platforms.
• Conduct product demonstrations and develop new applications.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and build relationships with customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, R&D, and product management to ensure customer success and drive business growth.
