Expert Data Engineer (Finance, Copenhagen)

Job summary

An opportunity exists for an Expert Data Engineer to contribute to the development of a new data platform, focusing on a Snowflake-based architecture. This role involves building data pipelines and tooling to enhance the Fund Accounting business domain within a collaborative, agile team environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data engineering with Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with containerized applications on Kubernetes is preferred.
• Experience with Snowflake, DBT, Apache Airflow, AWS, and Infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform is advantageous.
• Background in end-to-end delivery teams and Data Mesh strategies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements and identify key problems to address.
• Collaborate across teams to share knowledge and influence architectural decisions.
• Develop and enhance the business domain component of the data platform by integrating new data sources and transformations.
• Continuously improve the platform by adopting new technologies and methodologies.
• Build internal tools to facilitate migration to the new data platform.
• Mentor team members and take on a Tech Lead role for the business domain.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred.
