Job summary

The role involves leading the development and implementation of automated high-precision manufacturing equipment within a technology innovation focus in R&D Processing. You will work closely with a project team and a multi-disciplinary engineering team to design, build, test, and deliver equipment that enhances manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

  • Background in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing automated high-precision manufacturing equipment through to full implementation.
  • Proficiency in mechanical design using CAD tools, such as Siemens NX or similar.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with others.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the overall Technical Lead for developing automated equipment from concept through to factory implementation.
  • Drive technical direction and support project planning, including timelines and resource allocation.
  • Design and document mechanical solutions, ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
  • Manage technical risks and solution quality through design reviews and continuous improvement activities.
  • Support operational adoption by providing technical documentation and facilitating transitions to production sites.

Skills

  • Experience with testing, validation, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Ability to contribute to technical decisions and structured problem solving.

Education

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a similar field.

Tools

  • CAD tools (e.g., Siemens NX), Teamcenter or similar document management systems (nice to have).
