Job summary

The role involves leading engineering teams to enhance platform outcomes and drive AI-native development within a Nordic challenger bank. The Engineering Manager will work closely with product teams to align technical priorities with customer needs while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years of experience in leading engineering teams, with a focus on empowering senior individual contributors and tech leads.
  • Experience in platform engineering, with a strong understanding of internal customer needs and system trade-offs.
  • Solid knowledge of infrastructure, including system building, hosting, and scaling.
  • Hands-on experience with coding tools and a curiosity about future developments in technology.
  • Strong product instinct to guide platform direction and adapt to changes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead two squads of senior engineers, providing direction and support to help them excel.
  • Own platform outcomes, ensuring reliability, productivity, quality, and user adoption.
  • Drive the transition to AI-native development, addressing cultural, technical, and regulatory aspects.
  • Collaborate with product teams to ensure technical priorities align with customer requirements.
  • Communicate effectively to set expectations and foster a productive work environment.
