Job summary

The role involves developing, testing, and optimizing control features for wind turbines throughout the engineering lifecycle, including requirements, design, simulation, validation, and commissioning support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant engineering or development experience.
  • Practical experience in control-system development, testing, troubleshooting, or validation.
  • Advanced knowledge of MATLAB and Simulink.
  • Strong software development and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30 days per year for testing and support.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, validate, and release turbine-control features based on technical requirements.
  • Develop and maintain configurations, test specifications, and release documentation.
  • Conduct simulations and functional tests to evaluate turbine performance and controller behavior.
  • Analyze operational data to troubleshoot issues and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Tune control software in simulation environments and at turbine sites as needed.
  • Provide technical input for project planning and engineering decisions.
  • Enhance turbine-control tools and processes while sharing knowledge with colleagues.

  • Familiarity with simulation and load-analysis software like GH Bladed.
  • Experience with configuration and parameter-management tools.
  • Knowledge of acceptance testing and D-FMEA methodologies.
