Job summary

A skilled Data Engineer is sought to enhance a data platform that processes vast IoT data volumes efficiently. The role involves building and operating a customer-facing analytics platform that provides construction companies with access to their fleet and equipment data. The position is remote-first, with occasional in-person collaboration expected in various Danish hubs.

Qualifications

• Strong background in data engineering with proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Delta Lake or similar lakehouse technologies.
• Understanding of medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold) for data modeling.
• Familiarity with Kafka, multi-tenant data architectures, or IoT/telematics data is advantageous.
• Interest in AI and large language models applied to large-scale data.

Responsibilities

• Shape the future of the analytics platform, impacting customer experience and data value.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for processing IoT telematics data.
• Manage the internal data lake, ensuring security, governance, and data trustworthiness.
• Optimize pipeline performance and handle data challenges like deduplication and late arrivals.
• Oversee the operational health of the platform using modern observability tools.
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure seamless data platform delivery.

Skills

• Proficiency in data pipeline design and implementation.
• Experience with observability and incident management tools (e.g., Axiom, Grafana, Prometheus).
• Strong problem-solving skills related to data processing and optimization.

Education
