Job summary

The Data Communication Network Work Package Leader is responsible for overseeing the design, management, and documentation of data communication networks within a railway context. This role involves leading subsystem design, managing interfaces, and ensuring compliance with requirements and standards.

Qualifications

• Over 7 years of experience in work package leadership or senior system engineering related to data communication networks.
• Proven ability to manage suppliers and technical interfaces across the project lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of requirements, configuration, installation, and testing dependencies.
• Experience in handling stress during supplier delays and integration defects.

Responsibilities

• Own the scope, schedule, budget inputs, risks, and milestones for the Data Communication Network.
• Ensure completeness and traceability of all documentation related to requirements, architecture, and design outputs.
• Manage technical decisions regarding routing, switching, cybersecurity, and related interfaces.
• Coordinate testing and defect resolution activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Report on progress, blockers, and readiness status to project governance.
