Data Center Technician (IT Support, On-site)

Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and components.
• Experience supporting IT equipment or related technology is preferred.
• Ability to meet security screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify issues and replace faulty components with minimal disruption.
• Perform quality checks to ensure proper setup of grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling according to safety protocols.
• Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes following established procedures.
• Communicate and escalate incidents to appropriate management and technical teams.
• Assist and mentor other technicians in completing complex tasks.
• Complete required training and gain hands-on experience through observation.
• Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing information and participating in team meetings.
• Take ownership of service quality and user experience in data center operations.

Education
