Data Center Engineer (Copenhagen)

Job summary

The role involves ensuring optimal operation of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within a data center. Responsibilities include performing planned maintenance, addressing corrective work, and responding to emergencies to maintain high uptime for critical systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in operation, installation, and maintenance of data center critical equipment and building systems.
• High school diploma or college degree.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in data centers, including feeders, transformers, generators, and building management systems.
• Good observation and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Electrical or mechanical qualification.
• Ability to draft and review operational documents such as SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain facility systems, responding to abnormal conditions.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks across various engineering and maintenance trades.
• Conduct inspections of building systems, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
• Manage emergency situations and air quality complaints.
• Track and manage work requests and orders using customer ticketing systems.
• Monitor service contractor performance and recommend changes.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours incidents.
• Perform site checks and related duties as assigned.

Skills

• Strong technical understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Education

• High school diploma or college degree in a relevant field.

Tools

• Familiarity with customer ticketing systems and operational documentation tools.
