Innovation Consultant – Partnerships - DTU Skylab

DTU Skylab is looking for an experienced innovation professional with a strong background in facilitating and shaping interdisciplinary early stage innovation programs with external partners. We are looking for a colleague who is excited about delivering innovation programs, and at the same time has a strategic eye on how to build longer term strategic partnerships. 

As our new colleague, you will take a leading role in developing DTU Skylab's approach and offers targeting external partnerships to obtain funded partnerships that offers interdisciplinary learning, innovation programs and longer-term collaborations at DTU.

Your primary tasks will be to organize and facilitate the innovation activities with external partners and students as the primary target groups – with a specific focus on health- women- and social technology innovation and entrepreneurship. You will help organize and facilitate these collaborations with both national and international partners, and you will take part in scoping the challenges from the external partners to make it possible for the students to participate and contribute. You will be developing, delivering and co-organizing modules that are offered between Skylab´s Student Innovation team and Skylab’s Startup Coaching Team – supporting the early-stage acceleration modules in Skylab. The ambition is to mobilize funding and create activities that strengthen DTU with partners on this agenda. 

As a person, you are proactive, inventive, and accustomed to having different tasks on your plate at the same time. You are strong at finishing tasks with attention to detail and organization. You are welcoming and are always at eye level with people around you. 

Our expectations of you
We envision that you:

  • Have a relevant academic background, preferably within innovation and development
  • Have previous experience in a role coordinating and managing innovation programs connecting students and industry in shorter formats – specifically with a focus on women health, social entrepreneurship and inclusion
  • Have relevant network and collaboration experience working across Danish universities in general and at DTU in particular
  • Have succeeded to land external partners with funding in innovation learning formats
  • Bring knowledge and insights into youth engagement formats together with passion and knowledge about sustainability
  • Bring your experience with workshop facilitation and experience developing solutions of either social or technological character into play
  • Understand the structure of innovation eco-systems including quadrable helix and the role of intermediary organizations.

It is crucial that you have a structured approach and ability to adapt in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. You can plan and prioritize your time and are able to weigh the quality and scope of the task solution against the time available. 

You have good collaboration skills and take independent responsibility for the execution of tasks. 

As we are an international environment, it is important that you write and speak fluent English.

You are a network person who loves to talk to people and create new relationships - and you are not afraid to be on stage.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC), or other relevant collective agreement.

The position is a full-time position. Starting date is 1 July 2026 (or according to mutual agreement).

You will be employed at DTU Skylab, and the workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus, Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark.
