Commissioning Supervisor

Job summary

The role involves overseeing the commissioning of the latest generation of wind turbines, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards while working on-site across various locations. The position requires collaboration with installation, QA/QC teams, and subcontractors to ensure timely and safe completion of tasks.

Qualifications

• Technical education in electrical or mechanical engineering with experience in wind turbine generators (WTG)
• Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic diagrams
• Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC)
• Must pass offshore medical and fitness requirements
• Proficiency in English

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards
• Supervise and mentor less experienced supervisors and technicians
• Conduct WTG completion and start-up procedures
• Troubleshoot, operate, and maintain wind turbines
• Identify and manage deviations in processes
• Maintain turbines and associated equipment

• Strong focus on HSE, QA/QC, and customer relations
• Good understanding of processes and delegation
• Ability to motivate and lead a team
• Hands-on approach with a focus on continuous improvement
• Resourceful and adaptable in an international setting
• Willingness to travel globally, with an expected 180 travel days per year

Education

• Technical degree in a relevant field (electrical or mechanical)

Tools

• Familiarity with industry-standard tools and software related to wind turbine operation and maintenance.
