Chapter Lead - CMS Platform Engineering (Insurance, Remote/Nordics)

Job summary

This role involves leading a team of developers focused on the Optimizely CMS platform, ensuring its evolution as a reliable and scalable capability across the organization. The Chapter Lead will manage a unit of 10 developers, fostering a high-performing team culture while taking end-to-end responsibility for platform governance and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, or digital product development.
• Experience in leading or coaching within an agile environment, such as a Chapter Lead, Engineering Manager, or similar roles.
• Familiarity with enterprise CMS platforms, preferably Optimizely CMS.
• Professional fluency in English.

• Manage and support a team of developers, promoting growth and a healthy team culture.
• Take ownership of the Optimizely CMS platform, shaping its roadmap and ensuring security and reliability.
• Drive a DevOps mindset, focusing on automation and operational excellence.
• Continuously improve developer experience and establish clear guidelines for team efficiency.
• Explore AI and intelligent automation opportunities within the platform space.

Skills

• Strong architectural and engineering judgment.
• Ability to coach and create clarity for the team.
• Experience with multi-instance CMS setups and shared platform assets is a plus.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Git workflows, and modern deployment pipelines.
• Understanding of information security and compliance in enterprise environments.

Education

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
