Do you want to contribute to shaping corporate sustainability in an international vaccine company? We are looking for a structured and proactive student assistant to join our Corporate Sustainability team and support the development, execution, and communication of sustainability initiatives across the organization.

Boost our team
You will join our Corporate Sustainability team of three full-time professionals driving business value through sustainability across our operations and value chain. Here, you will gain hands-on experience with how sustainability is embedded into strategy, operations, and reporting in a globally oriented organization.

You will be based at our Hellerup office and report to our Corporate Sustainability Director, while working closely with colleagues and stakeholders across functions and locations worldwide.

This is how you will contribute
At Bavarian Nordic, sustainability is not handled in a silo. We believe that sustainability delivers the greatest impact when it is embedded across the organization and integrated into strategic, operational, and commercial decision-making.

Our team sets a strategic direction for corporate sustainability, but successful execution depends on close collaboration with colleagues across functions and geographies. Our responsibilities include strategy development and implementation, external and internal ESG reporting, as well as business support on commercially critical tasks, including tender support.

As a student assistant, you will contribute directly to core sustainability and ESG workstreams, with responsibilities including:

  • Contributing to the development of the sustainability statements for inclusion in the Annual Report, in alignment with CSRD requirements. These tasks include drafting text, assistance with qualitative data collection, consistency checks and controlling qualitative data
  • Structuring qualitative data received from our suppliers through our Responsible Value Chain Program and assistance on planning and execution of further actions and engagement with suppliers
  • Drafting and supporting responses to ESG rating agencies and sustainability-related tender requests
  • Analyzing data and sustainability performance to identify gaps, trends, and improvement opportunities to inform our strategic approach
  • Preparing and structuring materials such as presentations, templates, and analytical overviews used for internal decision-making and external communication

We expect you to work approximately 15–20 hours per week, with flexibility around exam periods.

About you
You are preferably finishing your bachelor’s in business economics, sustainability, marketing, strategy, or similar. Experience within the sustainability arena is a plus, but your greatest assets will be your eagerness to learn and contribute to your new team, professionally and socially.

We expect you to bring a proactive and structured approach to your work and that you are comfortable taking ownership of your tasks. You are comfortable working with tasks that require structure and an analytical mindset.

You enjoy handling qualitative data and working in a structured manner, also when it comes to routine tasks that require a sense of detail and consistency.

What we offer

  • The opportunity to contribute significantly to sustainability initiatives within a global vaccine company listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and personal development
  • A supportive workplace culture
  • Collaboration with talented and dedicated colleagues
  • The opportunity to enjoy big and small social events organized by our staff club
