Backend Software Engineer (Remote, Denmark)

Job summary

The role involves leading the development, maintenance, and enhancement of internal software tools used within the organization. The engineer will focus on ensuring existing tools meet business needs while identifying opportunities for new functionalities and improvements.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of experience in backend development
• Strong skills in building backend applications using C# and the .NET ecosystem
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Development, Computer Science, or a related field with a backend focus
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
• Familiarity with design patterns like singletons and dependency injection
• Experience with database management, including SQL and MSSQL Server
• Preferred experience with Azure DevOps and Git repositories
• Professional working proficiency in English; Danish is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of internal software tools
• Improve and expand existing tools based on R&D project requirements
• Take ownership of the Control System Configurator and drive improvements
• Support digital transformation by enhancing the development environment with Azure DevOps and Git
• Evaluate current tools and make decisions on their maintenance or elimination
• Act as the architect for tools, influencing technical direction
• Contribute to future PLC and HMI-based software solutions
