Automation Technician

Job summary

The Automation Technician will support a fast-paced production site, focusing on automation and control systems within a GMP-regulated environment. This role involves linking production, equipment, operators, and IT departments to ensure optimal automation functionality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree as an automation technician or similar
• 5+ years of experience with automation-heavy production equipment, preferably in a GMP or regulated industry
• Fluent in Danish and proficient in English

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support to ensure stable and reliable production operations
• Participate in an on-call roster
• Drive projects for updates, improvements, and troubleshooting of equipment and systems
• Lead or contribute to deviations, change controls, and root cause analyses
• Assist in qualification activities including IQ/OQ and support PQ
• Maintain high documentation and compliance levels through strong GMP practices

Skills

• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to take responsibility for automation and control of production equipment

Tools

• Experience with PLC/HMI programming and troubleshooting (Siemens)
• Familiarity with iFix SCADA, servo systems, and programming with IndraWorks Engineering
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (PROFINET, PROFIBUS, Modbus TCP/RTU, Ethernet/IP)
• Understanding of data integration technologies (OPC UA, SQL, MES, Historian)
• Basic electrical design knowledge (P&ID, electrical diagrams, control schematics)
