Automation & Quality Specialist (Copenhagen)

Job summary

This role focuses on ensuring the quality of an e-commerce platform through backend API automation testing. The specialist will design and maintain automated test frameworks, validate APIs, and collaborate with development and QA teams to enhance service reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in backend/API testing, particularly with Playwright.
• Proficiency in automation scripting using JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, and version control (Git).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and test management tools like Jira.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for backend services and APIs.
• Create and execute API tests, including complex authentication flows.
• Validate RESTful and SOAP APIs for functionality and performance.
• Implement automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze test results and collaborate with developers for defect resolution.
• Develop test cases, plans, and data strategies for backend systems.
• Conduct regression, smoke, and integration testing.

Education
