Automation Manager (On-site)

Job summary

The Automation Manager will oversee the development of a global moulding platform to facilitate the production of new elements. This role involves managing automation software, robotics, industrial networks, and safety systems while ensuring platform stability and security. Collaboration with various teams and external partners is essential for driving improvements and integrating new technologies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in programming, designing, and troubleshooting PLC-based automation systems.
• Hands-on experience with robotics applications and automated production equipment.
• Familiarity with industrial communication networks such as Ethernet/IP and OPC UA.
• Experience with functional safety systems and electrical diagrams.
• Strong ownership and autonomy in driving continuous improvement.
• Fluent in English (C1 or above) with excellent collaboration skills in multicultural settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead standardization efforts across the Low-Volume Moulding platform.
• Enhance productivity, usability, serviceability, and operational reliability.
• Define platform activities to support growth and new product introductions.
• Facilitate the integration of new production technologies into operations.
• Provide technical guidance on automation architecture and software design.
• Manage platforms and connected equipment throughout their lifecycle.
• Engage stakeholders during implementation and ongoing operations.

Skills

• Experience with Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, Omron, or B&R automation platforms is preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial networks and data availability through SCADA and MES solutions.
• Understanding of continuous integration and delivery practices.
• Genuine interest in new technologies and manufacturing innovation.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in automation or related fields.

Tools

• Familiarity with automation software and robotics tools relevant to production environments.
