Automation Engineer

Job summary

As an Automation Engineer, you will be integral in connecting production, equipment, QA, and IT departments within a fast-paced production site. Your primary focus will be on maintaining compliance and supporting the IT/OT strategy in a GMP-regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in automation engineering, electrical engineering, automation technology, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience with automation-heavy production equipment, preferably in a regulated industry.
• Strong understanding of GMP requirements and documentation practices.
• Fluent in Danish and proficient in English.

Responsibilities

• Enhance compliance of site automation systems through GMP practices and validation activities.
• Implement the IT/OT strategy in collaboration with various departments.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for automation compliance and OT infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and optimize automation and control systems independently.
• Lead investigations and analyses related to deviations and compliance issues.

Skills

• Proficient in PLC/HMI programming and troubleshooting (Siemens).
• Familiarity with iFix SCADA, process control systems, and data integration technologies.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure and computerized system validation (GAMP5).

Education

• Degree in a relevant engineering field.

Tools

• Experience with virtualization (VMware), SQL, MES, and other automation tools.
