Job summary

This position involves working as an Associate Scientist in the Strain Development team, focusing on the screening and evaluation of microbial strains to support product development in the field of plant health. The role emphasizes generating and analyzing experimental data to optimize strains for industrial fermentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biotechnology, microbiology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with microbial cultivation and laboratory techniques.
• Competence in analyzing and interpreting experimental data.
• Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to work.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Conduct small-scale microbial cultivation for screening processes.
• Carry out manual and semi-automated screening experiments.
• Analyze, interpret, and visualize experimental data.
• Collaborate with engineering colleagues to support strain development.
• Document experimental procedures in Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN).
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of screening methods and workflows.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure adherence to safety standards.
