Job summary

This position involves developing, automating, and executing advanced high-throughput screening strategies within the Screening Biology department, focusing on drug discovery for inflammation and immune-driven diseases.

Qualifications

  • PhD with approximately 2 years of industry experience, or a Master’s degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience in pharma/biotech.
  • Experimental background in drug discovery and screening biology.
  • Hands-on experience in assay development and high-throughput workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize biochemical (TR-FRET) and cellular assays for screening and hit validation.
  • Ensure assay robustness, reproducibility, and high data quality suitable for high-throughput screening.
  • Operate automation platforms and liquid handling systems (e.g., Echo).
  • Conduct screening campaigns and communicate results and insights to project teams.
  • Contribute to screening strategy and assay platform development.
  • Collaborate with Chemistry, Computational, and Data Science teams to align screening strategies with compound libraries.

Skills

  • Experience with cell-based assays, including transcriptional reporter assays and/or 2nd messenger assays.
  • Familiarity with biochemical assay development, preferably HTRF.
  • Proficient in high-throughput screening (HTS) techniques.
  • Experience working with automation and liquid handling systems.

Education

  • PhD or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
