Job summary

The role of Associate Medical Director in Medical Affairs focuses on supporting the obesity portfolio through medical leadership and cross-functional collaboration. This position involves translating external medical developments into internal guidance and engaging with the medical/scientific community to advance medical plans for new products.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent background
• Established industry experience in pharmaceuticals or biotech
• Training in obesity preferred; strong experience in obesity/metabolic health required
• Demonstrated experience in Medical Affairs with cross-functional collaboration
• Experience in developing medical plans for product approval and launch
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong analytical capabilities

Responsibilities

• Support medical strategy and execution for the obesity portfolio
• Collaborate with R&D and internal stakeholders to align priorities and deliverables
• Monitor medical developments in obesity and disseminate relevant updates
• Liaise with internal and external medical/scientific stakeholders and KOLs
• Engage with professional societies and patient organizations for insights
• Facilitate grants and IIT requests and represent the organization at scientific forums
