AI Developer & Platform Lead (Engineering, Denmark)

Job summary

This role involves leading AI development and platform initiatives within a research and development team focused on audiology devices. The position combines hands-on AI engineering with organizational platform strategy to enhance product capabilities and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in building and deploying AI solutions in production environments, including familiarity with LLM APIs and agent frameworks.
• Understanding of shared infrastructure development, focusing on reusability and versioning.
• Experience in governance contexts, including presenting to leadership and facilitating cross-team coordination.
• Familiarity with regulated software development environments (e.g., IEC 62304) is preferred.
• Willingness to work onsite 40% of the time in Denmark or relocate.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate AI features into product platforms, collaborating with software and systems engineers.
• Own the shared AI infrastructure, including data connectors and governance controls, ensuring safe AI use in a regulated environment.
• Serve on the R&D AI Board, maintaining initiative registers and supporting KPI tracking.
• Potential to lead a small AI engineering team as adoption scales.

Skills

• Strong coding and architectural thinking skills.
• Ability to operate within compliance constraints and governance frameworks.

Education

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Tools

• Experience with AI development tools and platforms, as well as familiarity with medical device quality systems.
