Job summary

This role involves overseeing a key production area in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, ensuring efficient and compliant operations while leading a team of Shift Supervisors. The focus is on maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Over 8 years of experience in biologics API or GMP-regulated manufacturing.
  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Upstream, Downstream, or Solution Preparation processes.
  • Familiarity with GMP and quality systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the performance of the production area, ensuring continuous monitoring and improvement of output, quality, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure production readiness and resolve issues.
  • Represent the production area in audits, inspections, and client visits.
  • Coach and develop Shift Supervisors, setting clear performance expectations and fostering a culture of ownership.
  • Handle complex people and performance matters, including HR processes like performance reviews and workforce planning.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, and safety standards across all shifts.
  • Lead deviation handling, investigations, and root cause analysis to identify and implement sustainable solutions.

Education
