Senior Technician, Downstream Production

Job summary

This position is for a Senior Technician in the Downstream Production area, working permanent night shifts from 20:00 to 07:00, including weekend work in even weeks. The role involves hands-on operational tasks in a cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment, focusing on protein purification and chromatography processes.

Qualifications

• Education as a Process Operator, Process Technologist, or Industrial Operator preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, specifically in a cGMP environment.
• Familiarity with protein purification using chromatography systems such as ÄKTA Ready or ÄKTA Process.
• Experience in Downstream processing and buffer preparation.
• Knowledge of LEAN, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily production activities, including batch documentation and reviews.
• Perform Downstream manufacturing activities per approved procedures and production plans.
• Operate and monitor chromatography and purification equipment.
• Prepare buffers according to production records and recipes.
• Support onboarding and training of new technicians.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality systems, including GMP and MPRs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and participate in production planning.
• Troubleshoot production-related challenges and assist with ad hoc tasks.
