Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD in Mechanical, Structural, Aerospace/Aeronautical, Computational, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in aeroelasticity, structural dynamics, and simulation of flexible structures like wind turbines or aircraft wings.
  • Proficiency with aeroelastic and computational structural dynamics tools such as HAWC2, HAWCStab2, FLEX, Bladed, OpenFAST, or similar.
  • Experience in developing and governing modelling frameworks and production-grade engineering software.
  • Strong understanding of modelling fidelity, numerical methods, and simulation application in engineering.
  • Ability to work independently and provide technical leadership.
  • Familiarity with Python and modern engineering workflows is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Aeroelastic Modelling capability within the Simulation Production System, including solver contracts and engineering evidence.
  • Act as the technical authority for modelling systems, ensuring accuracy and quality of simulation results.
  • Lead the evolution of aeroelastic solver technologies for improved performance and integration.
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for turbine modelling activities.
  • Drive technology initiatives and capability development to enhance competitiveness and engineering excellence.
  • Promote continuous improvement and ensure reliable simulation outcomes.

Education
