Does it excite you to work with cost transparency across development projects and outsourced manufacturing, and do you have experience with budget follow-up, cost of goods sold (COGS) and ERP-based controlling? If this sounds like you, and you are ready to take on a broad area of responsibilities, then you could be our new colleague.

Your new position

As Associate Supply Chain Controller in Supply Chain & Sourcing, the role supports strong financial governance across development projects, operational departments and external manufacturing partners. The position works closely with Project Managers, department heads and Finance to ensure accurate follow-up on budgets, forecasts and actuals. The role also contributes to COGS transparency, inventory and working-capital insights, and to improvements of data quality and processes in key systems.

We offer exciting responsibilities:

  • Drive monthly budget follow-up with Project Managers and department heads, including updates in Workday (activity lines, budget adjustments and status)
  • Partner with Finance on monthly financial performance follow-up, including provisions where needed
  • Perform project and department cost tracking and variance analyses versus budget and forecast (including across Technical Development & Manufacturing (TDM) departments)
  • Build and maintain COGS transparency per product and batch, including analysis of key cost drivers (e.g., yield variability, scrap, deviations, rework, batch failures, tech transfer and scale-up)
  • Support financial oversight of Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) contracts and provide financial input to sourcing/negotiation scenarios together with Procurement
  • Monitor and report inventory, shelf-life risk and working-capital drivers across the end-to-end supply chain, and support quarter/year-end close activities (including required accruals and write-offs)

Your profile

The ideal candidate is analytical, structured and proactive, and thrives in a lean, fast-growing environment with long planning horizons and evolving priorities. Strong stakeholder management skills and clear communication are important, as the role interfaces with both technical and financial colleagues. A detail-oriented mindset and curiosity for improving data and processes will be key to succeed.

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or similar
  • Ideally 2–3 years of relevant experience from e.g. supply chain controlling, manufacturing finance, and/or pharma/biotech or other highly regulated industries
  • Understanding of outsourced manufacturing models and CMO collaboration
  • Knowledge of COGS, inventory accounting and working-capital drivers
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365) and budgeting/follow-up tools (e.g., Workday)
  • Fluency in English is required

Your new team

The position is part of Supply Chain & Sourcing and reports to the Senior Director, Supply Chain. The role works in close collaboration with project teams, operational departments, Procurement and the Finance organization to support robust financial follow-up and decision-making across internal and external supply chain activities, including preparation of quarterly budget materials for Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) management review.
