We are expanding our delivery capability in Spain and are looking for a motivated System Consultant to join our growing team in Madrid. This role combines hands-on technical work with customer interaction, supporting the deployment and operation of mission-critical systems used to combat crime and terrorism.

Become part of XCI’s Global Delivery Team
XCI is headquartered in Aalborg, Denmark, and English is our corporate language. As part of your onboarding, you will receive training in Aalborg before returning to Madrid, where you will be supported closely by experienced colleagues in Denmark.

Madrid will be your primary work base when not visiting customers onsite. As one of the early members of our Spanish consulting team, you will play an important role in building XCI’s local presence while working in a highly international environment.

Working closely with experienced consultants in Denmark, you will support the deployment, operation, and maintenance of XCI’s solutions for customers in Spain and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute customer deliveries, including preparation, configuration, documentation, and installation of XCI software solutions

  • Conduct and support customer training in collaboration with XCI Academy

  • Provide support and maintenance of customer installations - remotely and onsite

  • Participate in deployments and customer engagements in Spain and occasionally abroad

  • Contribute to internal documentation and software release testing

  • Respond to customer inquiries via XCI’s support ticket system, ensuring high customer satisfaction

  • Gather customer feedback and translate operational needs into input for product and development teams

About you
You have 3–5 years of relevant experience as a system consultant, IT consultant, or in a similar technical role within a software or technology environment. You possess a strong technical foundation and enjoy working with modern infrastructure and large-scale IT solutions across Linux and Windows platforms, and you are motivated by delivering reliable systems that help customers succeed in mission-critical environments.

You take ownership of tasks and follow them through to completion, working in a structured and organized manner. You are service-minded and customer-focused, and you thrive both independently and as part of an international team. You communicate clearly in technical and operational discussions and remain calm and effective under pressure. You are motivated by delivering high-quality solutions with real societal impact and have excellent written and spoken communication skills in both Spanish and English.

Technical Skills

You have basic knowledge of several of the following areas:

  • Linux system administration, including scripting

  • Container technologies such as Docker

  • Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms

  • Virtualization technologies and infrastructure platforms

  • Monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Graphite or similar)

  • Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewall principles)

  • Elasticsearch or MongoDB (an advantage)

  • Modern infrastructure technologies and operations for large systems

You are committed to staying up to date with emerging technologies within infrastructure and platform operations.

Location, Travel, and Requirements

  • Based in Madrid, Spain

  • Regular travel to customer sites within Spain and occasional international travel

  • Must be eligible for security clearance and able to work with sensitive or classified information

  • A clean criminal record certificate will be required
