Senior Manager, Architecture & Technology

This unique role carries global responsibility for architecture across all digital solutions, including mobile apps, cloud services, connectivity, hardware, firmware, and software. You own the architectural blocks and pre maturing stages prior NPL and technology roadmaps across internal and external partners to secure foundation for value stream teams/tribes.

An exciting role, where you will lead technology scouting and partnership development, running technology portfolio initiatives to secure the right TRL levels for execution teams. From embedded and micro-level solutions to AI-based control algorithms for energy management and indoor climate optimisation, you ensure technologies are validated before entering NPL projects and module foundation and guardrails.

A key focus is new digital platform transition to secure interoperability, seamless experience and scalable solution. This needs to be done transforming to agile ways of working to improve time to market, enabling early testing of desirability, viability, and feasibility.

You define design guidelines, system architectures, interfaces, and technology choices so all components work together seamlessly. You also develop and maintain an internal ecosystem that enables CI/CD, testing, monitoring, simulation, and model-based design, significantly improving developer and engineering experience across domains.

Responsibilities & impact

Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Digital Solutions, you will lead a team of architects, system engineers, technical specialists, and UX architects. You will define and govern technical architecture and system interfaces through architectural and decision forums, ensuring alignment across value streams and stakeholders.

Key tasks will include:

• Evaluate, select, and integrate emerging technologies, ensuring cybersecurity, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with product management, value streams, purchasing, Technology and exploration, and engineering to align architectural decisions with business goals.
• Build modular building blocks that enable fast and reliable product implementation.
• Drive technical excellence and innovation internally and with external partners, enforcing architectural principles and standards.
• Build community related to systems engineering practices across teams in digital solution organization
• Mentor and develop architects, system engineers, and technical specialists.
• Represent Architecture & Technology in cross-functional and strategic forums.

Who we are looking for

You are an experienced architecture leader with strong systems-engineering credentials and the ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders.

You hold a Master’s degree in computer or software science, electronics, data science, or a related field, combined with certification in systems engineering and extensive experience in technical architecture or system engineering roles.

A supplementary business or innovation management qualification (HDO or similar) is an advantage.

Furthermore, you:

• Bring deep knowledge of enterprise architecture, cloud infrastructure, microservices, and security standards (ETSI, CRA, DATS, AI, GDPR)
• You have strong experience or certification with in (ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288, INCOSE, V-model)
• Are comfortable building and maturing technology and innovation roadmaps, working with UML and architecture tools, and managing technical risk
• Have a leadership style that is analytical, visual, collaborative, and pragmatic
• Have proven trach record in transforming capabilities with teams and new ways of working also including AI in new business creation and current business efficiency optimization
• Communicate fluently in English; Danish is a plus.
