As a Unity Lab Services Field Service Engineer, you'll provide expert installation, maintenance, and repair services for sophisticated Life Science Mass Spectrometry instruments. Working with cutting-edge technology, you'll deliver outstanding technical support while building strong relationships with customers across research institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and biotechnology firms. You'll resolve complex issues, conduct preventive maintenance, and train users to ensure optimal performance of mass spectrometry systems. This role offers excellent opportunities for professional growth and development within an organization dedicated to advancing life science research and discovery.

Your requirements:

  • Relevant degree (Advanced Degree or Bachelor's Degree) in Electronics, Physics, Engineering, Chemistry or related technical field. Relevant technical/lab experience is also valid
  • Experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing and calibrating sophisticated analytical instruments is an advantage
  • Ability to travel across Europe and the US for technical training
  • Demonstrated expertise with ultra-high vacuum systems, high voltage electronics, and complex electro-mechanical systems is an advantage
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities for hardware and software issues
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and proven ability to build positive customer relationships
  • Professional working proficiency in English; additional Nordic languages beneficial
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and engineering drawings
  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems, networking, and standard business software
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel 25-50%, mainly in the Nordics
  • Experience mentoring and training others preferred
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong team collaboration
  • Availability to respond to urgent customer needs
  • Dedication to safety by following all safety protocols
