In this specialist role, you will be part of a bigger team with a broad range of skills and capabilities in the Materials Department. The aim of the department is to maintain a safe, high-quality, and sustainable product platform to enable business needs and empower the organization to use materials to their full potential. Core Responsibilities

· Develop, improve, and validate material testing methods across coatings, pad printing inks, plastics, microscopy, artificial ageing, and spectroscopy.

· Demonstrate, improve, and validate ML-based algorithms for spectroscopy and materials characterization using statistical tools and physical testing.

· Ensure end-to-end test flows including sample preparation, execution, data storage, and documentation.

· Apply scientific methods, statistics, and data visualization to convert test data into actionable knowledge.

· Plan, execute, and document test method development and validation.

· Collaborate cross-functional to handle new testing and ML-enabled methods at scale.

· The impact on the business is global, as all initiatives will be using methods developed and validated by this role.

Do you have what it takes?

· BSc or MSc in chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar.

· Minimum 2 years’ experience with materials testing and test development.

· Hands-on knowledge from ink, paint or coating industry.

· Experience with machine learning algorithms exploration, maturing and implementation in manufacturing or product development.

· Experience with spectroscopy and spectral imaging.

· Knowledge of Python

· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to innovate.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

· Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques. (power apps/power bi)
