Senior Supply Planning Manager plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the entire supply chain to ensure efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Be adept at developing and implementing strategic supply chain plans, leveraging their extensive knowledge to optimize procurement processes, demand forecasting, and inventory management. They are able to build and maintain robust supplier relationships, negotiate optimal terms, and ensure the timely delivery of quality materials. This ensures that production schedules are met without delays, and resources are utilized efficiently, minimizing waste and reducing costs. They also have ability to analyze complex data and implement advanced planning tools leads to improved accuracy in demand forecasting and inventory optimization, driving down operational costs.
Core Responsibilities:
• Drive the end-to-end planning process to ensure alignment between supply, demand, and financial goals
• Drive decisions and outcomes which balances customer needs, supply chain capabilities, and business targets
• Provides direction on mitigation actions to improve processes by working cross functionally to address supply and demand variances, proactively mitigate risks and optimize opportunities
• Lead the development and deployment of supply chain planning systems and processes
• Identify risks and take actions to mitigate those risks
• Supply Chain Management: Manage and optimizing supply planning to meet demand forecasts, aligning operations with strategic objectives, ensuring efficiency, and managing capacity constraints. Coordinates with procurement, production, logistics, and distribution. Drives continuous improvement initiatives. High impact on operational performance and cost reduction
• Scenario and Strategic Planning: Formulate and implementing strategic plans aligned with organizational goals. Evaluates future scenarios, analyzes market trends, and adjusts supply chain strategies. High impact on aligning operations with long-term objectives and ensuring flexibility to market changes
• Tactical and Operations Planning: Expertise in developing production schedules (MPS) aligned with demand forecasts and resources. Skilled in optimizing production processes, material availability (MRP), and manages capacity constraints (RCCP/CRP). High impact on operational performance and achieving supply chain objectives
• Inventory Management: Optimise inventory levels to balance supply and demand effectively while minimizing costs and preventing stockouts or overstock situations. Utilising sophisticated inventory management systems and data analytics to drive strategic decisions and improve overall supply chain efficiency
• Logistics, Warehousing and Distribution: Optimizing logistics, warehousing, and distribution processes to ensure efficient, cost-effective operations. Manage third-party logistics providers and implementing strategies that enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce transit times, and ensure timely delivery to meet customer demands
• Procurement and Sourcing processes: In-depth knowledge of strategic sourcing plans that ensure cost-efficiency and high-quality supplies. Evaluating supplier performance, negotiating supply agreements in complex contracts, and leveraging market insights to optimize supply chain service, stable operations, and build robust supplier relationships
• Supplier Performance and Management: Effectively manage supplier performance and relationships to ensure high standards of quality and reliability. Sets performance metrics, conducts regular evaluations, and fosters collaboration to drive improvement and innovation. High impact on supplier performance and ensuring the supply chain's overall quality and reliability
• Digital Capability for Data Analytics and Business Intelligence: Assess and optimizing end-to-end supply chain processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Skilled in using sophisticated data analytics tools to identify trends, forecast potential issues, and implement strategic improvements that enhance overall supply chain performance and resilience
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the entire supply chain to ensure operational continuity. Developing and implementing comprehensive risk management strategies, conducting regular risk assessments, and creating contingency plans to address potential disruptions effectively
• Regulatory Compliance: In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance to ensure all supply chain activities adhere to local, national, and international laws and standards. Developing and maintaining compliance programs, conducting regular audits, and providing continuous training to ensure adherence and mitigate any potential legal risks
• Negotiation Skills: Advanced negotiation skills, securing advantageous terms and conditions with suppliers, carriers, and other key stakeholders to optimize costs and service quality. Skilled in strategic planning, conflict resolution, and leveraging market insights to achieve mutually beneficial agreements that support the company's long-term goals
• Project Management: Effective planning, executing, and delivering large ad hoc and complex projects to ensure timely delivery and budget adherence. Strong in leadership and excelling in coordinating cross-functional teams, managing risks, and driving continuous improvement to achieve project goals
