Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer within the Packing Technology, you will lead architectural decisions, software development, and technology deployment across all manufacturing sites. Your role is essential in evolving and delivering digital solutions supporting the production of LEGO® building toys and brick sets.

This role includes travel approximately three times per year, typically for around one week at a time, to collaborate closely with factories and stakeholders.

You will be part of the Software Engineering competence group within the global Manufacturing Technology domain, working closely with product managers, engineers, and manufacturing stakeholders to deliver software and technology solutions that support all LEGO® manufacturing sites worldwide.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop, operate, and maintain robust and scalable solutions used in factories worldwide.
  • Nurture and facilitate a great engineering culture with focus on good craftsmanship.
  • Explore emerging technologies and methods, identifying opportunities for our platforms.
  • DevSecOps: “you build it – you own it” (and run it) with a keen eye on secure code and security by design.
  • Enable security and privacy by design in a non-blocking way throughout the development cycle.

Do You Have What It Takes?

  • Proven experience in software development and architecture
  • Experience in cloud services and corresponding architecture design patterns
  • Strong team player with the ability to develop and guide others
  • Experienced with modern object-oriented programming languages, like C#
  • Experienced with modern front-end frameworks, like React
  • Experienced with CI/CD pipelines and git-based source control
  • Proficient in modern technology stacks and architectural patterns like event-driven architectures and microservices
  • Experience with agile technology development methods

Nice to Have

  • Experience with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge about PLCs and the OT area
  • Experience with test-driven development
  • Experienced with modern front-end frameworks, like Swift or React
