Translate design briefs into LEGO® products that meet targets for age complexity, audience appeal, play value, and storytelling using our LEGO building system
Lead and master the processes, tools, and workflows involved in LEGO model development
Mentor and support others in LEGO model development methods and best practices
Explore, visualize, and sketch ideas that can be developed into approved products, and facilitate ideation within the team
Collaborate across design disciplines and work closely with internal and external partners
Act as a role model and contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture.
Licensing and Extended Line helps build new touch points for the LEGO ecosystem through licensed consumer products, branded collaborations, publishing as well as unique brick products exclusive to LEGO Retail. The creative team is a diverse, multidisciplinary group who works closely with the internal design organization as well as external partners. Our products and experiences strive to deepen LEGO fandom as well as help extend the LEGO Play experiences to new products and spaces.
This role as a Senior Model Designer will focus on designing and developing new products for the LEGO Extended Line. Using the LEGO Building Platforms, the Senior Model Designer sketches, conceptualizes and designs for manufacture products. The role will participate in concept development, design, test, modification, and other relevant areas of LEGO model development.
Proven experience in LEGO® model building
Experience conceptualizing toys within defined frameworks and constraints
Strong creative skills, with a background in industrial design, product design, toy design or similar
Ability to lead and mentor across the full model design and development process, including setting creative direction
Strong communication, storytelling, and visualization skills
A collaborative mindset, with the flexibility to work across teams and with diverse stakeholders
