Job Description

Are you a seasoned frontend engineer who loves crafting accessible, high‑quality interfaces used by millions? As a Senior Frontend Engineer at the LEGO Group, you will own and evolve end‑to‑end user journeys across our digital touchpoints - delivering consistent, inclusive, and scalable experiences. Core Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality frontend solutions across LEGO apps and websites.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, product managers, engineering managers, and QA to deliver cohesive, cross‑functional solutions.
  • Write and maintain comprehensive tests (unit, integration, end‑to‑end) to ensure reliability and quality.
  • Contribute to frontend architecture decisions, ensuring scalable and maintainable codebases.
  • Work with modern frameworks and tooling (React, TypeScript, Next.js, Node.js).
  • Improve web performance and observability by tracking metrics such as Core Web Vitals, real user monitoring, error rates and latency, and act on insights to enhance speed and reliability.
  • Champion accessibility and semantic HTML to ensure inclusive experiences for fans of all ages.
  • Understand integration patterns in a microservice and micro‑frontend environment; familiarity with web security and authentication standards (e.g., OIDC) is a plus.
  • Stay current with modern frontend practices and advocate for continuous improvement within the team.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to a collaborative, iterative development culture.
  • Share knowledge, mentor peers, and contribute to technical documentation and best practices.

You will join a product team in the Kids & Ecosystem Technology domain to shape account and identity journeys across our global digital products. You will build performant, accessible, and safe sign up, sign in, and account recovery flows for LEGO® mobile and web apps, supporting the LEGO Group’s ambition to build direct, long lasting relationships with kids, adults and families.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Solid of experience in Senior frontend engineering roles.
  • Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript.
  • Experience with Next.js and Node.js.
  • Deep understanding of semantic HTML and accessibility best practices.
  • Experience working with Design Systems and UI Component Libraries.
  • Solid experience with testing (unit, linting, integration, end‑to‑end).
  • Familiarity with microservice and micro‑frontend architecture; understanding of web security and authentication (e.g., OIDC).
  • Background in agile development environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Self‑driven with a proactive mindset.

Great to have

  • Experience working with bundlers and module federation.
  • Experience with DevOps practices—GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, automated workflows.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS).
  • Knowledge of Tailwind CSS.
  • Ability to contribute to backend development when needed.
  • Exposure to solution architecture.
  • Familiarity with monorepo build tools (Turbo, Nx, Lerna).
  • A quality‑driven mindset with a focus on best practices and code standards.
  • Enthusiasm for agile ways of working and continuous improvement.
