Job Description

Are you passionate about end-to-end product development process planning?  

Join us with your optimal planning skills and help ensure that we bring fantastic novelty products and experiences to market!  

Core Responsibilities  

  • Create a high-level flow-plan on Novelty and New Color elements for all novelty LEGO products, based on the output from the Rough-Cut Portfolio Plan and close interaction with Project Leaders and Element Production sites 
  • Ensure a levelled workload across all production sites and ensure all elements are available according to the overall development plan 
  • Consolidate the end-to-end planning by coordinating, prioritizing, and ordering elements, textiles, stickers etc. (various workstreams going into a LEGO product) 
  • Understand the element value chain and work closely with various functional specialists and Leaders to keep us on track 
  • Balance and prioritize deliveries based on time constraints and cost in an environment where change is the norm 
  • Follow up and review the product development process performance and provide recommendation on continuous improvement

The Novelty Product Planning team plays a key role in the product development process working together with colleagues from Project Management, Element Design, Element & Mould team. We are responsible to plan the overall portfolio flow and enabling other colleagues to do their part. We continuously drive operational excellence by helping the business learn from current performance and building better ways of working!  

As Senior Element Planner, you are responsible to build early forecasts and rolling 12-months overviews on 3 different levels (frozen horizon, assumption, and scenario plans) to enable feasibility and resource discussions with portfolio & resource owners. You will help to improve our planning principles, provide data for better forecasting and flexibility for decision making.  

Do you have what it takes?  

  • Some years of experience as project planner with exposure to big pipeline/larger supply chain set ups within product development, design organization or similar 
  • Proven track record in utilising planning methods from traditional waterfall planning towards various agile planning methods 
  • Experience bringing impact to business results from end to end perspective within a matrix organization, ability to prioritise and drive planning between a mix of physical & digital pipeline 
  • A strong collaborator, pragmatic problem solver and phenomenal team mate who enjoys working with colleagues & partners across the organisation 
  • An open communicator with great presentation skills and data driven when it comes to decision making 
  • Experience with SAP would have an added advantage
