As a Location Planning Manager, you will be supporting our LEGO Brand Retail Stores expansion globally, with a focus on AMS and EMEA. Establish new and existing market roadmaps, identify new areas for growth and optimization and utilize your location GIS skills and analytical background to shape the LEGO Group’s global footprint.

The role can be based out of our Copenhagen or Boston HUB. Our hybrid working model is 3 days office/2 days home weekly.  

Core Responsibilities:

  • Data-Driven Network Blueprints: Develop and maintain strategic network plans for AMS and EMEA using internal and external data.
  • Portfolio Recommendations: Align store expansion strategies with global goals and regional market dynamics.
  • Sales Forecasts: Provide accurate sales forecasts and transfer assumptions for new store and relocation business cases.
  • Market Trends: Keep systems and data updated to ensure recommendations reflect current trends.
  • GIS and Data Visualization: Use GIS platforms, visualization tools, and forecasting techniques for strong portfolio insights.
  • Engaging Presentations: Deliver clear presentations with actionable insights.

Play Your Part in Our Team's Success

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Location Planning within the Global Footprint & Expansion Strategy Team, you'll collaborate closely with a small team of location planners to shape The LEGO Group's global store network. This role involves strategic analysis, market research, and cross-functional collaboration to drive the expansion and optimization of LEGO Brand Retail's footprint. Help us achieve our mission to inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow.

Do You Have What It Takes?

We're seeking an ambitious, entrepreneurial, and commercially savvy candidate with experience in retail, FMCG, CPG, or consulting.

  • Location Planning and GIS Expertise: Proficient in techniques, tools, spatial analytics, and statistical methods, supported by strong organizational skills.
  • Financial and Market Insight: Understand P&L, market dynamics, and consumer trends, leveraging Microsoft Office Suite for analysis.
  • Analytical and Presentation Skills: Ability to integrate, interpret, and present data effectively, showcasing self-motivation and attention to detail.
  • Industry Experience and Education: Background in retail location planning, with a relevant degree and proficiency in QGIS, ArcGIS, Alteryx, and Tableau.

While not essential, we'd love to see experience with SQL or Python coding in your profile. Familiarity with diverse store formats and segmentations, along with a background in global retail or FMCG/CPG, would be fantastic.

Compensation

The salary for this position has a range of 107.885,00 $ - 161.827,00 $ based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.
